Go Diego Go
We first met Diego on the Nickelodeon carton Dora the Explorer. Diego was introduced as Dora’s male cousin that also had an eye for adventures. Diego now has his own show on Nickelodeon where he takes children on more adventures.
Diego is a friend of the animals and he works to save animals and return them to their rightful home. While saving the animals children are introduced to new vocabulary and knowledge animals, their habitats, and their behavior. Like Dora, Diego does get some assistance to help him as he goes on his animal adventures.
Always at his side is baby Jaguar. Baby Jaguar is there to help Diego as he rescues the animals. Baby Jaguar is able to talk and communicate to Diego just like Boots the Monkey is able to talk to Dora. Diego has his own backpack that he calls Rescue Pack. Instead of using a map like Dora, Diego has a camera called Click. Children are encouraged to say chant “Click take a Pick” during the episode.
Another help to Diego is his older sister Alicia that is a great with the computer and guides Diego on his adventures.
